The Stanley Hotel was the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining".  The 1980 version of the movie was filmed at Mount Hood Oregon.  Stephen King returned to the Stanley in 1996 to film a mini-series.  The mini-series was written and produced by Stephen King and filmed on location at the Stanley.  Mr. King makes a cameo appearance in this version.

The Stanley hosts daily tours that show case it's amazing history as well as it's spiritual side.  Explore this remarkable resort and all it has to offer.

The discounted rate of $219 is valid June 17 - 20.  However, if you wish to add a few nights to enjoy the area, we have arranged for a discount.  The rates for additional weekend nights (June 15 & 16 and/or June 20-22) will be $289 a night.
